How To Create Your Instagram Brand Boss Bio
Your bio on Instagram is the first thing that people will look at when they land on your Instagram page. It’s super important to be as clear as you can about what you do. Make it so understandable that even a 5 year old can understand it. Here are some tips on how to create your bio on instagram.
Be really clear about what you do. Make it super easy for people to know. Don’t use fluffy words. Just be straight to the point. ie: life coach, nail artist, jewelry designer
Tell me why I should follow you. What are the benefits, or what can you do for me. Is it for entertainment, tutorials, inspiration, education.
Tell me who this content is for. It’s okay to weed People out. You don’t need a huge following it’s not a numbers game. You want to attract people who want to know about you and that will interact with you. So who is it for? Women, men, entrepreneurs, moms, fitness enthusiasts
Give me your contact information if you chose not to have a business profile.
Offer a freebie or something of value in exchange for their email. This way you can stay in contact with potential clients. This can be a pdf with really great information, free stock photos to help someones business, or a percentage off of a purchase.
Remember no one want’s to be sold to all the time. So be sure to use social media socially. Don’t get too bogged down about keeping it professional all the time. I like to tell my clients that having professional images sprinkled in with their non professional images is okay. Just be sure to lead with service and how you can help your audience to be a better version of themselves.
